4. In ancient times, Dendara was associated with healing. Patients who traveled there for cures were housed in special buildings where they could rest, sleep, and commune with the gods in their dreams.
.
5. The main temple features a set of enigmatic reliefs that are unlike any other ancient Egyptian art. It is known as the Dendera LightBulb - a mysterious relief that has raised numerous questions among scholars. The reliefs depict what many have described as a representation of ancient technology (ie two light bulbs on opposite sides facing each other). The reliefs were carved underground within the temple. How did the ancient Egyptians manage to inscribe these reliefs in the dark? Egyptologists say that they used torches but if that was the case, why was no soot ever found on the ceilings from the flames? Could it be that the ancient Egyptians actually had access to electricity thousands of years ago as some believe?
