A winter night she caught his eye so bright
Her wounded wings could barely take their flight
The rushing crowd just passed her by in haste
They never felt her presence pure and chaste

Her tears like gentle raindrops fell so light
They melted snow beneath with silver glow
Yet beauty shone through sorrow's fragile might
A vision dancing where the cold winds blow

When he drew near she trembled in the dark
Asked why he wandered lost from heaven's spark

He whispered soft "From starlit halls I fled
Through cracks in time where mortal souls are led
Just for a while to walk this earth again
Now tell me dear where does your journey end"

She laughed and spun her tales of playful schemes
Of twisting fate like threads in moonlit dreams
But through the clouds she stumbled in her play
And fell to earth so very far away

Then he promised "Let me heal your pain
If you'll swear to help me once again"

He begged her "If you've seen the Radiant Light
Just hold my hand and guide me through this night
Let loneliness and grace now intertwine
Take me beyond where stars and shadows shine"

And with a smile like dawn she reached so far
Her slender hand became his guiding star
While hidden in my secret corner's shade
I watched their hazy forms begin to fade...
